DSG Gearbox Servicing  – Colchester

DSG and S-Tronic transmissions deliver fast, refined gear changes – but only when they receive the right servicing at the correct intervals.

That’s why drivers across Essex and Suffolk turn to The Gearbox Centre Essex in Colchester for precise, manufacturer-spec DSG servicing carried out by experienced transmission specialists.

Keeping Your DSG Performing Smoothly

Dual-clutch gearboxes rely on accurate hydraulic pressure, well-maintained clutch packs, and clean, high-quality fluid.  When servicing is delayed, symptoms often follow, such as:

• hesitation or slow engagement
• vibration at low speeds
• harsh or inconsistent shifting
• gearbox warning messages

Our technicians understand how both 6-speed wet clutch and 7-speed dry clutch systems behave when fluid degrades or adaptations drift, allowing us to identify potential issues early.

What’s Included in a DSG Service?

Every service is completed to Volkswagen Group specifications and typically includes:

• full fluid change using the correct-grade oil
• filter replacement on applicable wet-clutch units
• adaptation checks and resets if required
• diagnostic review of mechatronics and clutch operation
• inspection for leaks, contamination, or pressure irregularities

We use advanced diagnostic tools to verify shift performance and ensure the gearbox responds cleanly once servicing is complete.
